New stores doing well
Women's clothes and footwear retailer Hobbs has revealed sales increases of 31 per cent for the five months to July 1.

The group said its two store openings in Liverpool and Solihull were trading ahead of expectations.

Chief executive Nick Samuel said: '2006 has been another successful year for Hobbs. With new initiatives in place and current trading ahead of forecast, we are confident of another strong year of progress.'

The introduction of a wider accessories range has been well received and the company has plans to expand this further in the autumn.

Sales for the financial year to January 28 were up 11.4 per cent.
