Carter to replace Peyrelongue
Burberry has appointed Ian Carter as non-executive director.

Carter, who is executive vice-president of Hilton Hotels Corporation and chief executive of Hilton International, joins the board on April 1.

He will be replacing Guy Peyrelongue, who is to retire from his position as non-executive director of the company at the end of this month.

Separately, David Tyler, who has been a non-executive director of Burberry since June 2002 and is a member of the audit committee, took up Peyrelongue's responsibilities as chairman of the remuneration committee on March 23.
