Hervia, the franchisee for upmarket designer Vivienne Westwood, is planning a UK roll-out following the success of its standalone store in Manchester.

The retailer operates from a shop in Liverpool as well as an accessories-only store, also based in Manchester, and is planning to open a further three stores over the next year. A store will be opened this October in Newcastle and the company is looking at additional premises in Nottingham, Birmingham and Glasgow.

Hervia chairman Richard Duncalf said: 'Manchester has been a very successful store for us and we would like to emulate this in other cities throughout Britain. Vivienne's designs are highly respected throughout the world so we are now trying to widen the customer base while keeping the exclusivity and by keeping the brand in standalone stores we feel this is achievable.'
