Holland & Barrett has launched a new concept store in Chelmsford, Essex, that offers a range of products and services to educate shoppers on their wellness needs.

The health food and wellness retailer’s new store format features new products and services for shoppers including video or in-store consultations with nutritionists and fitness experts.

The store also boasts over 250 new products across vitamins, supplements and clean beauty ranges, as well as diagnostic testing kits and personalised vitamin subscription offers.

Shoppers visiting the store will be able to have their vitamin, hormone and microbiome levels checked by staff.

Holland & Barrett will also provide private consultations with nutritionists and personal trainers in a dedicated consultation room, where video consultations can also be conducted with shoppers at home.

The store has click-and-collect lockers for customers who have ordered online.

Chief executive Tony Buffin said: “Everything we do, particularly at this time in our customers’ lives, is done with the aim of making wellness accessible for all. Our goal with the Chelmsford test store is to break down the barriers of wellness shopping to help customers feel in control of their own health.

“This means making nutritional consultations free, offering self-diagnostic tools and allowing customers to feel confident in buying zero-waste products without breaking the bank.

“We are excited to see how our customers engage with our new store and are proud to be reinvesting in the high street during this difficult time. Our aim in Chelmsford is to listen even more carefully to our customers and understand what works for them so we can support them to be more healthy when it is now more important than ever.”
