Estée Lauder has confirmed that it will launch its first ever standalone store on London’s Carnaby Street on November 12.
The high-end beauty brand will trade under its diffusion line, Estée Edit, at 46 Carnaby Street.
Leased from London-based landlord Shaftesbury, the store comprises 1,374 sq ft over two floors. It is expected to open “imminently”.
Retail Week understands that Estée Lauder zeroed in on the location as it already has a retail presence on the street in the form of the Mac shop, which is a sub-brand of Estée Lauder.
It joins a host of beauty brands with stores on or around Carnaby Street, including Benefit and Pixi.
The move follows other high-profile beauty launches in recent months.
Fellow French brand Nars chose to open its first ever standalone store in London’s Covent Garden while the Marie Claire and Ocado tie-up Fabled launched on Tottenham Court Road.
Beauty has been a go-to area for department stores in recent months.
