London-based upmarket shirt retailer Harvie & Hudson is to open a store for the first time in 23 years.

The retailer has three stores, including two on famous shirt retail destination Jermyn Street. It last opened a shop in 1986 in Knightsbridge. The new store, at 12-13 Lime Street in the City of London, will open on December 4. It will cover 1,290 sq ft on the ground floor and 1,830 sq ft in the basement, and will also house a barbers in conjunction with Taylors of Old Bond Street.

Store manager Matthew Beadle said the retailer achieved a good property deal and is hopeful of opening further shops. The retailer was founded in 1949. Property agent Kitchen La Frenais Morgan acted for landlord Premier Property Group.
