Harvey Nichols expands Middle Eastern business

Harvey Nichols is expanding its Middle Eastern business with a 120,000 sq ft (11,150 sq m) shop in Dubai, the UAE. It has struck an exclusive licence agreement with Al Tayer Group and will debut at the giant Mall of the Emirates, expected to open in September next year. Dubai will be its second outlet outside the UK, following its launch in Riyadh in 2000. 'We see huge potential for the retail sector in the UAE,' said Harvey Nichols chief executive Joseph Wan. 'Al Tayer shares our vision for a successful retail environment for luxury brands.'
