Existing store to close in favour of O2 centre location
Furniture retailer Habitat is to open a store in the O2 centre on London's Finchley Road.

Habitat has agreed a deal with landlord X-Leisure, to open an 11,500 sq ft (1,070 sq m) shop on the site of two restaurant units formerly occupied by Pizza Hut and Old Orleans.

The store will replace Habitat's existing Finchley Road branch 300 yards away, which will close. The O2 centre mainly contains restaurants and bars, although Books etc, Sainsbury's and Homebase also have stores there.

X-Leisure is a property investment fund managed by retail property investor Capital & Regional, which also managed the specialist Mall and Junction funds for shopping centres and retail parks respectively.
