The campaign, dubbed ’That’s What Makes it Christmas’, is made up of a series of short adverts showing a range of households enjoying imperfect yet relatable festivities.
Tesco has rolled out its adverts across its social channels and Clubcard emails prior to airing on TV tonight (November 12).
The campaign is made up of 11 standalone adverts telling different stories. One shows a family trying to pose for an annual Christmas photo, but the two children are arguing, another shows a family gathered around the table awaiting the Turkey, but tensions are high as it’s clear a debate has just taken place.
The theme that combines them all is how “perfectly imperfect” Christmas is, ending with the slogan “that’s what makes it Christmas”.
Tesco group customer director Becky Brock said: “At Tesco, we know Christmas isn’t just about the picture-perfect moments.
“We want to celebrate the wonderfully relatable chaos that fills homes across the UK. Tesco shows up for customers across the festive season in so many ways, and we hope the campaign resonates with the nation and Tesco helps everyone celebrate what makes it Christmas for them this year.”
