Morrisons to hire 180 new florists as flower sales bloom

Morrisons Abergavenny

Morrisons will double the number of flower stalls in its supermarkets and hire 180 new florists amid a surge in demand.

The supermarket giant said it would offer jobs to specialists who might have lost work during the coronavirus pandemic. The UK-wide lockdown sent a number of high street florists to the wall, leaving many out of work.

Morrisons will employ 300 florists across more than 100 in-store flower stalls following the fresh recruitment drive.
