Morrisons has appointed former Thomas Cook marketing chief Mike Hoban to the new role of brand and communications director.

Hoban, who was previously marketing and ecommerce director for the UK at Thomas Cook, will be responsible for Morrisons’ brand identity and external marketing. He reports into group marketing and customer director Nick Collard.

Hoban has also worked at Scottish Widows, Barclaycard, British Airways, and WH Smith.

Collard said: “Mike has a proven track record and brings some deep expertise in his field. He will be tasked with communicating our sharpened value and our amazing fresh food offer.”
