Big-four grocer Morrisons has announced a new partnership with Deliveroo to offer home grocery delivery from stores.

Morrisons said the service will be available from more than 130 of its stores across the UK and will cover one in four households. Customers will be able to order from a range of 70 “essential household items” including meat, fruit and vegetables, and store cupboard products.

The grocer said products bought through the Deliveroo app will be priced the same as if the customer was purchasing in-store and the partnership would be “important for families and vulnerable people that are isolated at home” during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

All deliveries will be made contact-free in under 30 minutes.
