Marks & Spencer plans to extend its click-and-collect offer to over 100 of its Simply Food franchise stores by the end of September.
The retailer is rolling out the service after piloting it at 20 of its 300 franchised Simply Food stores. Customers can already collect orders from the 200 wholly-owned M&S Simply Food stores.
Marks & Spencer is working with franchise partners SSP and MOTO to enable customers to collect their online orders from Simply Food stores, which tend to be based at railways stations, airports, motorway services and hospitals.
Simply Food franchise locations include Kings Cross Railway station, Manchester Piccadilly station and Stansted airport.
David Walmsley, director of M&S.com, said: “Store collection is incredibly popular, with over half of orders picked up from our stores.
“By extending the service to locations such as railways and service stations, which may form part of customers’ daily journey, we hope to make it even easier and more convenient for them to shop with M&S.”
The new service is in addition to its existing click-and-collect service at over 300 full line M&S stores, where customers can order, collect and returns items in-store.
