Tesco introduced augmented reality to a re-incarnated version of its 1960s shops at the Goodwood Revival festival last weekend.

The grocer enabled shoppers to receive additional product information by scanning the retro packaging in the store.

Tesco opened the 1,700 sq ft store at the Sussex event over the weekend stocked with products in historic packaging and staff in 1960s attire.

On the back wall of the store, a historical timeline of Tesco was displayed using content and images from Tesco’s history including vintage adverts shown via iPads and TVs.
