New data shows the big UK grocers have struggled with availability issues since Brexit.
Prime minister Boris Johnson heralded his last-minute Brexit deal as allowing âfrictionlessâ trade and said it would ensure that goods could be sold âwithout tariffs and without quotasâ between the UK and the EU.
However, as one grocery chief executive says, the deal âis neither barrier-free nor frictionlessâ, calling it âthe biggest implementation of red tape in our business that weâve ever seenâ.
