Discount off licence chain Bargain Booze’s private equity owner is understood to be considering a sale of the business.

Owner ECI Partners has appointed advisory firm KPMG to carry out a review of the business, which could result in a sale for around £90m, according to the Sunday Times.

Bargain Booze reported full-year pre-tax profits of £13m, up from £11m in 2009.

According to Retail Week Knowledge Bank, Bargain Booze has 610 stores.
