Asda has made further commitments to price cuts with over 200 more lines reduced, just a few days after announcing previous price cuts.

An additional 249 lines have been reduced, with 197 of those being fresh food lines.
Customers will see an average 7% price drop on the new lines, with discounts reaching as high as 50%.
Products that have had prices slashed include its frozen own-brand 200g extra special raw and hand-peeled jumbo king prawns 200g, reduced from £4.24 to £2.12; and its butternut squash chunks by Cook reduced by 34% from £2.10 to £1.38.
The announcement follows last weekās price cuts on 956 family favourite products across grocery, household and non-edible items.
Asda said the price reductions are intended to ease financial pressure as food inflation hit 5% in September.
Asda chief customer officer Rachel Eyre said: āWe understand the pressure families are under from rising living costs and weāre stepping up our support as we enter an expensive time of year for our customers.
āWeāre cutting prices on the everyday products they rely on the most, helping them bring down their food bills and get even more value every time they shop with us. This is real support, where it counts.ā
