Aldi to scrap best before dates on fruit and vegetables

Aldi has become the latest major grocer to scrap best before dates from fresh produce in a bid to crack down on food waste. 

The discounter will remove the dates from around 60 of its own brand fruit and vegetable ranges, including apples, pears, citrus fruits, onions, carrots and potatoes.
