Discounter Aldi is set to open four new stores on the same day, as it continues its UK store expansion drive.

The budget supermarket has opened four new stores across the UK as part of its aim to expand its UK footprint.
The openings come as Aldi aims to meet its long-term target of opening 1,500 stores in the UK, with the supermarket investing £800m into expanding its UK footprint this year.
The four news stores are located at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol, Hetton-le-Hole in Tyne and Wear, Ashton-in-Makerfield in Greater Manchester, and Macduff in Banffshire.
Each location will host a Team GB Olympic medallist to officially open the store before delivering the supermarketās healthy eating initiative to local schools.
Aldi communications director Richard Thornton said: āOur new store openings are a testament to our ongoing investment in the UK, and weāre thrilled to bring Aldiās unbeatable prices to even more communities just in time for Christmas.
āTo be opening four new stores in one day is an outstanding effort from the team and shows just how serious we are about bringing more stores to communities up and down the country.ā
