Lego is set to open two new stores in the UK this year, both at flagship shopping centres owned by Hammerson.
The Lego Group’s only two new stores to open in the UK this year will be on Hammerson schemes at the Bullring in Birmingham and Westquay in Southampton.
While no exact date was given for the openings, Hammerson said the two new Lego stores will open their doors “ahead of the Christmas shopping season”.
Hammerson said that “customers can expect to be treated to a variety of interactive play and event experiences” – including brick specialists to “help find shoppers a unique set that’s the perfect fit”, hands-on “play opportunities” and a digital box – where customers can “scan almost any boxed Lego set and see the model come to life in 3D”.
