Austyn Zung to help develop womenswear
Gap has appointed Austyn Zung to develop product for the fashion giant's new womenswear brand, which is expected to launch next autumn.

Zung, who was formerly vice-president of design at fashion house Oscar de la Renta, joins as senior vice-president of design and product development. She will oversee the development of the clothing and accessories offer.

In September, Gap announced plans to develop a fascia aimed at women over 35, with the intention to open 10 test stores in two geographic regions in the second half of next year.

Gap brand president Gary Muto was drafted in last month to spearhead the project. He was previously brand president for Gap and Banana Republic.
