Capcom has become the latest video game giant to refuse to supply Game.
The suppliers’ titles Street Fighter X Tekken and Asura’s Wrath will now not be released into Game or Gamestation on Friday as planned.
Capcom joins Nintendo and EA on the list of companies who have omitted Game from its stockists since registering a poor Christmas.
The retailer will offer £5 in loyalty points, along with a full refund, to customers who have already ordered the affected games.
A Capcom spokesman said: “Unfortunately Capcom must confirm that Street Fighter X Tekken for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and Asura’s Wrath, both scheduled for release on Friday March 9, will not be stocked by Game or gamestation either in their retail outlets or on their online stores operating in the UK and Ireland.”
“Capcom wants to reassure its consumers that both these titles, including the Special Edition of Street Fighter X Tekken, will be available at a wide variety of retailers across the UK and Ireland.”
A Game spokesman said: “Unfortunately, we have not been able to agree launch plans for Asura’s Wrath and Street Fighter X Tekken and they will not be available in our stores or online when they’re released this Friday.”
Game added it is “in talks with Capcom to resolve this temporary situation”.
The disputes with Nintendo and EA have meants Game has not stocked several big name games including Mass Effect 3, The Last Story, FIFA Street and Mario Party 9.
