Sales up 60% on last Christmas
Gadgetshop has doubled its annual turnover and returned to profitability, just 15 months after The Entertainer bought the Gadgetshop name and pulled the company out of administration.

The online retailer believes that today will be its biggest sales day in the run-up to Christmas, with turnover during the festive season up 60 per cent compared with last year.

Gadgetshop head Stuart Grant said: 'This is an exciting time for us and the Gadgetshop brand. We're very happy with the business' growth over the past year.'

The Gadgetshop name was rescued by 36-store toy retailer The Entertainer in May last year, after in-fighting brought the chain to its knees and the stores were forced to close.

Following the demise of Gadgetshop's retail units while in administration, the company now only trades online, but has plans to launch retail stores next year.
