Retail Week Conference 2010

Speakers at the conference, which is being held at the Park Plaza Victoria in London on March 3 and 4, include Marks & Spencer executive chairman Sir Stuart Rose, John Lewis Partnership chairman Charlie Mayfield and DSGi chief executive John Browett.

The Retail Week Conference, now in its 20th year, will cover the business-critical issues crucial to retailers’ success in 2010:

  • How you can react to the changing economy
  • The future of the high street and the physical landscape of retail
  • Reaching the consumer through new channels
  • Growing through innovation and creativity
  • Evolving your brand and remaining relevant to the consumer

Themes of the conference will include:

What is the future of high street? How will the rise of online retail, the trend towards out-of-town, supermarket dominance, changing relationships between landlords and retailers, and further retail business consolidation affect the UK’s high streets and the physical shopping landscape?

The evolving consumer. They’re shopping differently, spending differently, thinking differently. Find out how you can reach them through the new channels of mobile and social commerce. Get under their skin, and find out how you can continue to connect, understand, and better tailor your offering to them.

The economy. 2010 is set to be a very different place to 2009. Find out how the economy is changing, what it will mean for your business, and what you should be doing now to ensure your business is best-positioned for the recovery.
