House of Fraser has unveiled its vision for stores as part of plans to become a premium national department store group.

The 170,000 sq ft, four-floor store at Bristol’s Cabot Circus will be the first that House of Fraser has developed from scratch, following its acquisition by a Baugur-led consortium.

In what chief executive John King describes as a “brand new concept”, the store features the retailer’s first Aveda spa, a Nails Inc area and a new jewellery department. It will also house HoF’s latest home format and Zest restaurant. Designed by Stanton Williams, the store also has a£1 million etched glass façade.

King said the store “will represent everything we have been trying to achieve over the past two years”.
