Wooden and laminate specialist's board unable to settle on a price for the chain
Flooring retailer Floors-2-Go has announced that discussions about the possible sale of the company have ceased.

The retailer said talks with a private equity firm, which have been taking place since the company was first approached in December, have ended because the board was unable to agree the right price for the business.

Floors-2-Go, which started as a family-run business in Birmingham in 1999, is the UK's leading laminate and wooden flooring chain and operates about 125 stores. In its last financial year, the company generated a like-for-like sales increase of 22.9 per cent, and recorded a 165 per cent profit increase to£8.2 million.
