Retailer pledges £250,000 to fund
Home shopping company Findel has revealed it will donate£250,000 to help Farepak customers, who lost thousands after the Christmas savings club collapsed last month.

The company had previously said it would contribute 'at least£100,000', but had not disclosed the exact sum. The Sun also revealed today that it would donate£25,000.

Farepak managing director Nick Gilodi-Johnson apologised to all Farepak customers last week about the disaster. Sir Clive Thompson, chairman of Farepak parent European Home Retail, and Gilodi-Johnson both blame Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) for the fiasco, a claim the bank has rejected.

A total of£4.2 million has so far been raised for distressed Farepak customers.
