Ocado is understood to be poised to appoint JPMorgan Cazenove, UBS and Goldman Sachs to advise on a possible £1bn flotation this summer.

According to the Financial Times, the banks are expected to be named over the coming weeks as lead advisers on the float, with others likely to be appointed to assist.

Ocado’s founders are former Goldman bankers, and the bank is a long-time investor in the business. UBS is also an investor.

The possible float is slated for late June or early July.
