A consortium of private investors led by House of Fraser chairman Don McCarthy has injected £2m into beauty clinic chain DestinationSkin to fund expansion.

The 10-store chain of non-surgical beauty clinics is looking to open five new sites this year and also wants to refurbish existing sites and launch new products.

McCarthy, who also becomes chairman of DestinationSkin, said the investment “will allow it to grow rapidly to be market leader”.

The laser treatment and anti-ageing specialist’s first new opening will be a concession in House of Fraser in Glasgow in summer. Five of its current sites are already in House of Fraser shops.
