Flying Brands closed its growing and live despatch business yesterday following the sales of its Gardening Direct retail arm last month.
The multichannel retailer is in advanced negotiations with Jersey Choice in connection with the lease of the greenhouses and despatch centre at its Retreat Farm property. It expects a lease to be signed imminently.
The closure of its growing business has resulted in the redundancy of 16 staff in Jersey.
The board is continuing to “consider strategic options” for the business and how to maximise the “long-term value” of Retreat Farm. It will update shareholders at its interims.
