Shop Direct has appointed Jonathan Wall, chief executive of online florist Flowersdirect.co.uk, as its new ecommerce director.
Wall will take up the newly created position at the home shopping group - which also runs the Very, Littlewoods and Woolworths.co.uk brands - on April 5.
He will be responsible for the strategic direction of Shop Direct’s ecommerce capability.
Before joining Flowersdirect.co.uk, Wall was marketing director of online electricals retailer Dabs and helped with its integration with BT Retail in 2006. He was at Dabs from its launch in 1999.
Shop Direct chief executive Mark Newton-Jones told the Retail Week Conference last week that he expects the online market to carry on growing.
