Online retailer targets US and international growth
Online lingerie retailer Figleaves.com has appointed Bill Bass to the board as a non-executive director. The appointment is designed to strengthen the company for US and international expansion.

Bass was previously senior vice-president at US catalogue retailer Lands' End, where he was responsible for e-commerce and international sales. Following the sale of Lands' End to the Sears group, Bass went on to become general manager of the Sears internet division. Sears is the sixth largest internet retailer in the US.

At present, Bass is chief executive officer of start-up ethical clothing retailer Fair Indigo and serves on the board of fashion brand Marc Ecko Enterprises.

Figleaves.com founder and chief executive officer Daniel Nabarro said: 'We look forward to benefiting from Bill's wealth of experience and vision. He has already done much of what we plan to do and his advice will be of tremendous value as we grow our US business and expand our operation overseas.'

Figleaves entered the US market three years ago and carries 250 international brands of lingerie, swimwear, sleepwear, hosiery and men's underwear.
