Woolworths is to launch Store 21 fashion concessions in 16 of its large high street stores in partnership with value fashion retailer QS.

QS will open the first of its Store 21 concessions in Woolworths on Thursday in stores in Clydebank, Harrow, Slough, Wrexham and Swindon. The remaining concessions will open over the next four weeks.

The 3,000sq ft concessions will house adult and teenage fashions, footwear and accessories.

The move follows Woolworths chief executive Steve Johnson’s strategy to make better use of space in Woolworths larger stores

Woolworths business development director James Collins said: “This is a fantastic partnership that offers a host of benefits to both parties. Woolworths offers Store 21 fantastic high street locations and large volumes of customer traffic. Store 21 offers Woolies an extremely attractive customer offer. Value adult fashion and accessories is something which compliments Woolworths’ product offering and we are therefore expecting strong trading results from the concessions.”

QS vice chairman Findlay Caldwell has previously announced intentions to expand its Store 21 fascia via the concession route, including a presence in Somerfield and the Co-operative Group.
