Ted Baker is launching into audio products, today unveiling a range of headphones and speakers as it diversifies its offer further.

The fashion brand has created two sets of headphones: the Rockall over-ear headphones, which are to retail at £179.99 and the Dover in-ear headphones, which will sell at £59.99.

Ted Baker has also developed a set of Bluetooth speakers called Fastnet, which will sell at £199.99. The folding speaker has an integrated microphone and enables the user to stream music from their digital music device.

The product names have been inspired by the “hypnotic and reassuring” sound of the Shipping Forecast radio programme, which covers the 31 areas around the British Isles. Rockall and Fastnet are islets, while Dover is a port.

Ted Baker will begin selling the new products exclusively in John Lewis on June 10.

Ted Baker brand communication director Craig Smith said: “Ted Baker Audio will continue to alter customer perceptions of our brand.

“Designed from the outside in and engineered from the inside out, this modern and distinctive collection of headphones and speakers really highlights the Ted Baker brand’s sheer diversity, integrity, design ethos, attention to detail and energy.”
