Superdry chief product officer, Brigitte Danielmeyer has decided to stand down from her role for personal reasons, four months after she joined the team.
Formerly Tommy Hilfiger’s global head of womenswear, Danielmeyer was hired by the struggling retailer last September at the same time it released its new “fast-fashion” range, designed to appeal to a more fashion-forward consumer.
A search for her successor is underway.
Underlying pre-tax profits fell 49% to £12.9m in the six months to October 27 as discounting, the effects of the summer heatwave and foreign exchange costs took their toll.
Superdry will update the market on its third-quarter performance on February 7.
In a statement to the stock exchange, the business said: “Strong progress continues to be made in the product innovation and diversification programme as most recently outlined in its interim results on December 12.”
