Fashion retailer Superdry has appointed a new interim chief financial officer as the business begins to rebuild its board.

Superdry has snapped online sports and cycling retailer Wiggle’s chief finacial officer Nick Gresham, who will hold the same role at the fashion retailer on an interim basis.

Gresham, who has a long track record in finance roles, will start his new job and be appointed as a director of Superdry on June 3. Prior to Wiggle Gresham held financial roles at retailers including Oak Furniture Land and Homebase.

Gresham will succeed Ed Barker, who resigned in April when alongside chair Peter Bamford, chief executive Euan Sutherland and chair of the remuneration committee Penny Hughes after co-founder Julian Dunkerton won shareholder support to be reinstated on Superdry’s board.

Superdry chair Peter Williams said: “I am delighted to have secured an interim CFO of the calibre of Nick, who has extensive experience in senior finance roles across the retail sector.

“This is an important step for Superdry as we continue to focus on rebuilding the board and putting the right leadership and corporate governance structure in place.”
