Phase Eight, the womenswear retailer, has received expressions of interest from several private equity suitors, according to reports.

Phase Eight is understood to have held talks about a potential acquisition with Lloyds Development Capital, Jack Wills backer Inflexion and Change Capital, which owns young fashion brand Republic.

The Independent newspaper reported that all have registered an interest in buying the 82 store, 125 concession chain.

Phase Eight, Lloyds Development Capital, Inflexion and Change Capital declined to comment to the Independent.

Inflexion was reported to be interested in acquiring a 50% stake in footwear retailer French Sole, earlier this month.
