Office has reopened its flagship Oxford Street branch as a brand new concept store, after a three-month refurbishment.
The high street footwear retailer said the store would âfocus on the fashion-forward female consumerâ and the new design hones in on âthe customer and what inspires herâ.
The store is 1,628 sq ft and will hold a pared-down 1,300 SKUâs to give a âtailored and curatedâ offering for customers. It reopened earlier this month, after closing for refurbishment in early January.
A spokesman said it was âgoing to be our pinnacle and leader of the store direction going forwardsâ.
Retail Week understands that new concept is currently in beta stage, but there are plans that the layout of the new store will be rolled out across Officeâs portfolio of 120 UK stores in future. All new store openings will adopt this new layout.
As part of the storeâs reopening, Office has introduced a Runner app, which will cut the time customers will have to wait for shoes in-store and will allow them to see if a certain product is in stock before making the trip there.
The spokesman said the app was intended to ensure âa member of Office staff will always be with customers when theyâre in-storeâ.
If a product is not in stock at the Oxford Street shop, Office is building in a next-day delivery service from the store, in a move towards making the flagship location âan omnichannel hubâ.
