Scottish knitwear brand Pringle will join Burberry and Matthew Williamson at London Fashion Week this September to celebrate the event’s 25th birthday.

Pringle creative director Clare Waight Keller (pictured left, with British Fashion Council chairman Harold Tillman and London Fashion Week vice-chair Erin O’Connor) said of Pringle, which is marking its 125th birthday this year: “It is definitely an idea we’ve toyed with before, but this year provides the perfect opportunity to celebrate our British heritage and honour the British Fashion Council.”

Tillman said: “It is fantastic to have a brand with such a strong British heritage showing alongside our emerging stars such as Giles Deacon, Christopher Kane, Marios Schwab and Richard Nicoll.”

London Fashion Week will take place between September 18 and 22 at Somerset House in the capital.
