Marks & Spencer is the latest retailer to clothe the family of US President Barack Obama.
While the Obamas are in the UK for the G20 summit, Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s wife, Sarah Brown, has reportedly given Michelle Obama gifts bought from M&S for her children. The items included t-shirts, jeans, mini-skirts and sunglasses.
On their trip to the States last month it was reported that the Browns gave the Obamas presents bought in Topshop.
At the time Arcadia boss Sir Philip Green said: “We are both excited and delighted that Mrs Brown chose Topshop on her first trip to Washington. What an excellent present.”
Mrs Brown is said to be a fan of the shop and has recently worn a £7 beret bought from Topshop to an official engagement with the Prime Minister.
