Joules’ chief customer officer has left the business and is soon to be followed by its chief commercial officer, Retail Week can reveal.

Chief customer officer Lysa Hardy has left the lifestyle retailer in recent weeks. Retail Week understands that her role, a first for Joules when she was hired in 2016, was made redundant. It is not known whether she has another role.

Chief commercial officer Kara Groves is set to leave the business in the summer for a new role at upmarket womenswear brand Mint Velvet.

Joules declined to comment on either of the exits.

The retailer posted a spike in profits at its interims, driven by sales rises across its UK and international markets despite “challenging” trading conditions.

Pre-tax profits rose 24.3% to £9.3m in the 26 weeks to November 26, driven by an 18.2% rise in group revenue to £96.2m.
