Fashion retailer Jigsaw has announced it will embark on a UK store expansion plan as it confirms the opening of “at least three new locations this year”.

Jigsaw has revealed plans to open its doors in Manchester, Islington and Kingston as it continues its expansion into bricks-and-mortar retail.

The announcement follows the opening of its newest store in the Battersea Power Station shopping development, which opened last month, bringing Jigsaw’s store estate to a total of 45.

Jigsaw said it could open around 20 new stores over the next few years, and confirmed that it will target market towns and regional city centres as well as smaller sites.

Jigsaw’s chief executive Beth Butterwick said: “We will open as many stores as we can agree and find the right location. We feel really positive about the role of stores.

“The high street has gone through a battering and some high streets are reshaping themselves. Going back into locations where we were before feels like the right thing to do”.
