ISawItFirst has appointed former Matalan deputy chief executive Greg Pateras as its new chief executive.

The fast-fashion retailer promoted Pateras from the role of executive director earlier this month.

He joined the business in July as it gears up for a potential IPO, Retail Week revealed.

ISawItFirst founder and former chief executive Jalal Kamani, who is also the brother of Boohoo co-founder Mahmud Kamani, has now taken on the chair role for the fashion retailer.

Kamani founded the business in 2017 after he left his position as trading director at Boohoo.

Pateras previously spent almost four years at Matalan, joining as chief operating officer in 2017, before being promoted to deputy chief executive in 2019.

An online veteran, he also spent ten years at Shop Direct, now known as The Very Group, in a number of financial roles.

His appointment comes a week after fellow Shop Direct alumnus Sam Perkins was named as chief executive of fast fashion retailer In The Style.
