Online giant Littlewoods turns 80 this year and to help celebrate the milestone current face of the brand Coleen Rooney has recreated some of the most famous catalogues in its history.

Shop Direct owned Littlewoods, which was founded by Sir John Moores in Liverpool, published its first catalogue in May 1932. It comprised 163 pages showing hand illustrated images of items such as flat irons, which retailed at ten shillings.

Since then stars from Jerry Hall to Joan Collins have graced the retailer’s famous catalogue.

Rooney was shot by photographer Terry O’Neill, who has worked with Audrey Hepburn, The Beatles and The Queen.

Littlewoods brand director Gary Kibble said: “We wanted to illustrate exactly how Littlewoods has evolved since the first catalogues in the 1930s all the way to present day. It’s a very fitting way to mark Littlewoods’ 80th birthday.”

Rooney said: “It’s been fantastic recreating the covers of past Littlewoods catalogues. There have been so many changes, the outfits have been great and the looks have been so different from each other, I’ve had to be so many different characters.”
