Discount supermarket Aldi has launched an autumn/winter clothing range in a bid to tap into the grocers’ share of the fashion market.
The 32-item range is across men’s and women’s casualwear. It spans thermal socks and basic long-sleeved tops to padded jackets and shopper-style handbags and is available online and in stores now.
Aldi managing director for corporate buying Tony Baines said: “Shoppers are looking to update their wardrobes at this time of the year and we’ve tapped into the latest high-street trends to offer our customers a great value range that doesn’t compromise on style.”
Aldi has launched clothing ranges before but this is one of the most comprehensive to date and points to the discounter wanting to carve out a share of the lucrative grocer-held fashion market.
