H&M has unveiled further details of its Lanvin collection, which hits stores on November 23.

The womenswear and menswear collections, created by Lanvin artistic director Alber Elbaz, is designed to “make every single piece identifiably the work of Lanvin” said the retailer.

In womenswear, the dresses are “of breathtaking cut and joyful colour” while other pieces add a touch of Parisian glamour.

In menswear, the retailer said the collection is a range of “covetable updated classics, with tuxedos made for daywear and jogging pants adding a whole new sporting twist”.

Prices include womens t-shirts at $39.95 (£25), womens jackets at $59.95 (£37) up to $149 (£93), womens dresses at $199 (£124) up to $249 (£155), shoes for $99 (£62), and accessories from $19.95 (£12). In menswear, t-shirts are from $19.95 (£12), shirts at $49.95 (£31), blazers at $149 (£93) and a tuxedo at $299 (£186).

Elbaz said: “What does luxury mean today? Can luxury be exclusive and democratic at the same time? How can we translate the essence of luxury to a wider audience? The world around us is changing rapidly and I find myself asking these questions more and more. Designer’s work is usually tailored to a very small group of people, but the collection for H&M was about trying to translate the dream of luxury to the masses. It was almost like going back to school for me.”

H&M creative advisor Margareta van den Bosch said: “Alber Elbaz is so extremely skilled; it’s so rare to work with someone who is so attentive and involved in everything. He is creating and styling all the time; it’s like this never-ending imagination. Elbaz is quite unconventional in the way he tries to find new solutions and he fights for his own vision. I admire him, he’s a real artist.”

The collection will go into 200 stores worldwide.
