H&M has unveiled plans to double the size of its store at Willow Place in Corby after agreeing terms on a new 15-year lease.

The fashion retailer plans to revamp the enlarged 22,000 sq ft store, which will offer its full range of menswear, womenswear and childrenswear.

H&M’s new lease forms part of a double deal for asset manager Sovereign Centros, after TK Maxx extended its lease at 2 Willow Place unitl June 2031.

The retailer will now remodel the 30,000 sq ft unit in a bid to drive improvements in the customer experience.

Senior leasing, development and asset manager at Sovereign Centros, Simon Phipps, said: “We have worked closely with TK Maxx and H&M to ensure their new occupational space requirements were met.

“Their commitment to Willow Place is a huge vote of confidence in our regeneration of the centre and in Corby, which is thriving.”

Figures from the Office for National Statistics revealed that Corby was the fastest-growing borough outside London. The population is forecast to jump 17% by 2024, with footfall already averaging around 8m visitors every year.

Sovereign Centros is bidding to further capitalise on that traffic by developing the site of Corby’s former Crown House office, now known as Market Walk East.
