Fashion retailer H&M is launching its first UK mail order catalogue.

The move follows the UK website launch in September as the fashion chain bids to become a multi-channel retailer in the region.

The first issue of the quarterly catalogue will be released on December 27. It will feature womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and homeware collections. Additional smaller, seasonal catalogues will also be produced.

Catalogues are currently distributed across Scandinavia, as well as in The Netherlands, Austria and Germany.

The launch completes a busy few months in the UK, where the retailer has launched a new online store, its homeware range and the new capsule collection by French designer Lanvin which opened in selected H&M stores last week.

H&M UK country manager Magnus Olsson said: “We strive to constantly improve our product offering and provide excellent customer service and inspiration. Launching the H&M catalogue here in the UK is therefore a great way for us to finish off an eventful year.”

Catalogues will be sent to customers who have subscribed online, although the first edition will also be available in-store.
