Fashion etailer Zalando has recruited a weatherman to keep its seasonal offerings weather appropriate in the changeable British climate.

The skills needed in retail are ever-changing and teams these days include technology architects, social media gurus and… weathermen.

Fashion etailer Zalando has hired its own weatherman at its headquarters to help it tailor its online offer to match the weather conditions in different locations to ensure fashionistas are not caught out in boots when it is sandals weather.

The service is particularly helpful in the UK where the summers are famously wet and winters are fairly often mild.

Zalando bosses must hope the forecaster didn’t train at the same school as famously ill-informed weatherman Michael Fish.
