It’s a classic social faux pas – somebody’s mobile phone going off in the middle of a speech.
Luckily for the accused in this instance, said mobile started ringing during a speech by Carphone Warehouse founder Charles Dunstone.
The entrepreneur was speaking at the launch of pop-up shopping centre Boxpark, in which he is an investor and director. “I don’t care if it is someone’s phone ringing,” he laughed as the embarrassed woman frantically tried to turn it off.
It was nice of Dunstone to let the lady off the hook.
